2019 Art Scholarship
Friends of the Riverhead Library’s Student Art Award
Requirements for Applicants
- A record of applicant’s high school academic performance. Academic performance in high school will be evaluated especially art grades. Academic achievement and other awards earned are a positive factor.
- Students must complete and submit a statement responding to the subject provided on the application form. Statement should include what has influenced the students in their art and goals for the scholarship.
- Students will be interviewed and will present a portfolio to The Friends to demonstrate artistic skills.
- Applicants must provide three references including contact information and relationship to applicant.
A hard copy of the above with a completed Friends’ Art Scholarship form must be received by March 30, 2019 at:

Reviews and interviews shall be scheduled during the month of April. Evaluation of applications is at the sole discretion of The Friends and decisions are final.
Award presentation shall take place at The Friends general meeting in May and at Riverhead High Schools Scholarship Award Night.
